Catheter Lean Manufacturing Platforms

The MSI FFS675S lean process PTA balloon catheter pleating and folding equipment uses identical, independent machine bases with automated product handling to cut process cycle times in half. The FFS675S is a process-flexible platform—each base can accept either a pleat or fold head. It is ideal for lean manufacturing environments. The machine can be configured with a variety of luer attachment fixtures to process full length or RX subassemblies.

The FFS675S is PLC-controlled with a touch screen user interface, which incorporates industrial PC and HMI technology. The control system allows for multiple levels of security with easy recipe/profile creation and transfer among machines. Other capabilities for improved process efficiencies include bar code scanning, integrated vision assist, networking, and data output.
