MSI provides catheter and guide wire testing services on a contract basis. Our IDTE testing platform is designed to comparatively and quantitatively test and record the performance features of interventional devices including: catheters, guide wires, stent delivery systems, colonoscopes, endoscopes and scope tools. The IDTE allows users to distinguish their products from competitors by creating and testing in extremely challenging conditions. Test results can be used for regulatory submissions, competitive product testing and R&D device evaluation. Standard test methods include: track force, lesion crossability force, push efficiency, catheter-guide wire compatability, flexibility/kink force, bifurcation “kissing” stent force, torque strength, rotational response, torque to failure, tip stiffness, insertion force measurement and many more. MSI offers contract testing services on a fully loaded IDTE machine at our test lab in Flagstaff, AZ and our partner facility Protomed Labs in Marseilles, France. We offer two types of contract testing services: lab rental or contract testing. The lab rental option allows customers to book our test lab for an entire day to complete testing themselves with the support of our test engineering team. Contract testing is offered for customers who want to send their devices to be tested by our engineering team. All tests are completed according to instructions from a signed test protocol and a full testing report and raw data are provided in a CSV file for further analysis within your organization.
